Training Course for Women

Are you, or do you know some women that are wanting to cycle? Or have you started cycling and want to improve your skills?

SCCC is excited to announce it has received a grant from the Pink Flamingos. The Pink Flamingos are a collective of female cyclists who ride together socially, with a vision to empower women of all ages, at all levels, on all types of bikes to take up the sport of cycling.

The FREE course will cover confidence-building and safe riding skills, road rules and riding etiquette, bike handling and control, basic bike maintenance, and an introduction to club level racing.

SCCC is fortunate to have Jess Pratt undertake the course. Jess is a former professional cyclist with the UCI Women's World Tour Team Canyon//SRAM, is currently a member of the Women's Cycling Development Initiative, and a qualified coach.

The two day course will be held on 11-12 April 2026, primarily at Skippy Park, Landsborough.

The only prerequisite is that you hold membership with AusCycling (including insurance). If you are not currently a member you can obtain a 4 Week Free Trial membership!

You can register for the course by emailing Jess at jesspratt97@gmail.com. Please include your membership details.
