Sunshine Women's Tour

Presented by SuncoastVet and supported by Club Pilates and the Sunshine Coast Cycling Club

April 15/16 2023

Announcing a brand new women’s cycling tour on the Sunshine Coast arranged by the Sunshine Coast Cycling Club with the support of our sponsors SuncoastVet and Club Pilates. This four stage tour showcases the best theSunshine Coast has to offer and suits riders of all abilities.

You can choose to push you to the limit and test your skills against other top female riders in all AusCycling grades including A, B, C and D. Junior riders are also welcome and will be graded accordingly.

The four stages have been thoughtfully chosen to include a little bit of everything, and offer something to everyone. You’ll start on Saturday morning with a prologue around Girraween criterium circuit. This will be followed shortly afterwards by stage 2 which will be a criterium, also on the Girraween circuit. The first 2 stages will be wrapped up by lunchtime, allowing you to enjoy the delights of Noosa in the afternoon. Girraween is only a 5 minute drive from Noosa central! Or if you are quick you can head on over to Eumundi markets and enjoy a couple of hours there. Enjoy the beach, an early dinner, and some zzzzs. Stage 3 on Sunday is a beauty – a hill climb up the iconic Gyndier Drive. Sometimes known as Garmin Hill or Noosa Hill, this one is a key stage. It’s not long (2.5km), and it’s not overly steep; but it could be these few seconds that make the difference in the overall tour. For stage 4 you’ll get in your car and head over to North Arm for the final test which is a road race. This 10km loop is well known for hosting both individual time trials and road races. The program should be completed by 1pm.

But this tour isn't just about the race – it's also about the camaraderie and sportsmanship that come with competing in a women’s only event.  The date for the event is the last weekend of the school holidays. Why not come up early and spend some time ahead of the Tour to relax and recharge, enjoying the best the Sunshine Coast has to offer. From delicious, locally-sourced cuisine to breathtaking natural beauty, this tour truly has it all.

Entry fee $100 for 4 stage event, A, B, C, D Grade.
