About SCCC

Whether you are a seasoned professional like members of the ARA Skip Capital UCI Continental Professional men's and women's teams, a junior looking to climb up the ranks, or just thinking about racing for the first time to improve your fitness, the Sunshine Coast Cycling Club (SCCC) caters for everyone.

Affiliated with AusCycling, SCCC's aim is to promote cycling

on the Sunshine Coast in a safe, fun, competitive and social

environment.

Races are held at a mix of courses, with criterium circuits at Skippy Park and Girraween, and road courses at North Arm and Glass House Mountains. Our events include A, B, C and D grades for both men and women, as well as for juniors (up to U19).

All races are conducted under AusCycling regulations and policies, controlled by accredited AusCycling commissaires, and always have someone with First Aid accreditation on-site throughout the entire event - including warm-up.

While our events are focused on road racing, SCCC supports all forms of racing under AusCycling. What's more, members of other clubs are most welcome.

Queensland Road Team Series (QRTS)

QRTS is a prestigious series of amateur races run each year

by AusCycling QLD. Teams are comprised of at least 6 and

no more than 10 riders, and race in either Men, Women or

Masters categories. Teams and individuals accumulate GC,

KOM/QOM and Sprint points over the year to determine the

overall winners of the series.

SCCC regularly forms a team to race in the Men's category. If you are interested in QRTS, contact our President Phil Lawes.

Women's Solaris Racing Team

The recently formed Solaris Racing Team powered by

SuncoastVet provides a fantastic opportunity for women to

develop their racing skills, and provide a pathway to the

Elite levels. The team is already recognised as a 'force to

be reckoned with' at races across the state, including QRTS.

Some of its members also compete in National Road Series

(NRS) races. For further information contact Deborah Latouf

For Our Juniors

Want to follow in the footsteps of SCCC members like Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Alastair MacKellar (Hagens Berman Axeon - Jayco), Alex Bogna (Alpecin-Deceuninck Development Team), or Kristina Clonan (Australian Track Cycling Team)?

SCCC has a strong junior coaching program aimed at developing the emerging talent of our 10 to 16 year olds. See our Juniors page
